Think of it less as a tour, more as a night out with locals who love the sky. A human, heartfelt night out in the Arctic with guides who treat you like family

This is not a polished brochure experience. This is the Arctic – wild and unpredictable. And we are Blue Puffin – a small, family-run crew of locals, guides, and friends who genuinely care.

Our Northern Lights in Focus tour isn’t about ticking boxes or chasing headlines. It’s about presence, patience, and joining real people who put their heart into every night. Sometimes there’s snow. Sometimes there’s wind. And yes, sometimes the aurora doesn’t show up (rarely). But what we always promise is this: we will do everything humanly possible to give you the best chance, with care, courage, and a spark of Viking spirit. From the first hello to the last spark of the fire, we’re here with you — all in.

We don’t run from A to B on a script. Each evening is a challenge and a mystery. We follow the sky, sometimes driving far into the fjords, sometimes even to Finland. We read the clouds, feel the wind, and take risks that only locals would know are worth it.

You’ll be wrapped in warm suits, warmed by the fire, and nourished with homemade soup and kindness. You’ll laugh with your guide (who’s also a photographer and a weather nerd), sip hot drink, and maybe see the sky explode in green.

And if the magical Green Lady appears — we’ll celebrate like it’s our first and last time, because we never stop being amazed. So if you’re ready to meet the Real North, not a postcard, but the pulse beneath it, then this is the tour for you.
